Hi*Speed is Northern California's original audio and video duplicator. -Started in 1956 by Franklin Mieuli with the purchase of 5 reel-to-reel audiotape duplicators from the Ampex Corporation. -Franklin Mieuli purchased the duplicators primarily to distribute the San Francisco Giants Radio Pre-Game Shows, which he was producing at the time to affiliate stations in the pre-satellite days of the early 1950's.- Although Franklin purchased the duplicators for his own use, he soon found that there was pent up demand for reel-to-reel duplication in the Bay Area.- Hi*Speed was born. Since then, Hi*Speed has carried on the tradition of being first with new technology and evolved to cassette duplication in the 1960's, video duplication in the 1980's, and became the first mid-size CD duplicator in the 1990's. -In the new millenium, Hi*Speed continues to be a leader in new technology bringing DVD authoring and duplication to their host of services. -
